if you don't have one, i recommend that you run right out and get one for yourself. they are good for hours of laughs. and if you can get them to learn to wipe their own butts, they are pretty self-sufficient.
monkey decided we were going to play a game. he picked Chutes and Ladders. a game he has never played before. so not only do i get the pleasure of playing a game with a 4 year old, but i have to teach it to him too. the premise of the game is you climb the ladders to get to the top and the chutes push you back down to the bottom. and you want to be at the top. it goes well and i let him win so the game goes faster. i said "You won Monkey!" he got all excited then looked at me and said so where's the shooting? took me a minute to figure out that he thought the game was "Shoots and Ladders" and that there was going to be guns involved and that's really why he wanted to play it. ahhh the joys of childhood............

Hey K! Whoo! Glad to see your finally on a blog thingy! :) Whee!
why wouldn't Milton Bradley just call the game what it is. SLIDES and ladders. not Chutes. what 2-4 year old knows what a CHUTE is for pete's sake??? stupid game manufacturers.
i know it's not like it rhymes or anything and they couldn't change it!!
