i am going to be gone for a while. my father-in-law, paul, is in his last day's of his life. he has had lung cancer for a while and now it's the end. he has been more of a father to me than my own father so i am devastated. as are my husband and my 12 year old. the nurse came in today and said it could be any time. and i want to be available for my mother-in-law. don't think i have abandoned you. i will be back. if you are a praying person, please pray for my family and for my peggy my mother-in-law.

I'll definitely be thinking of you and your family and praying for you all. It is so difficult to lose a loved one, my FIL died just about 4 years ago (he was 92 - not a typo, he just started his 3rd marriage late in life). It still seems like yesterday.
We'll miss you and still be here when you come back.

I often think of Paul and wonder how he's doing. I am so very sorry, Kay, to hear this sad news. Please know that my prayers are with Paul and with you and the rest of the family.

Wow, how bizarre. I was closer to my father-in-law than my father and he had emphysema.
