i can't believe that my baby is 5 today. seems like yesterday we were racing around to get to the hospital to be induced. ah! glad that's over! :)
monkey is such a great kid. he has a wonderful sense of humor and is sooo smart! he loves legos, blocks and his brother. he is a scooby-doo fanatic but he loves books as well. he knows all of his letters and numbers and is trying to put them together to make words. people always tell me how much fun he is to be around. and they are right!! it's never a dull moment when monkey's there! his imagination astounds me! he loves to draw, color and create things with various and assorted junk he finds around the house!
monkey is the joy that helps glue our family together!!

btw- the dick and jane books are sold at walmart. my teacher friend told me they have most of the 100 sight words they teach in school.both my girls learned to read with them -- we got the collection book -- ten bucks -- starts out super easy and gradually gets harder.
as much as we mocked those books as kids, they worked! my girls were so excited to read those goofy, "funny, funny Jane" stories.
aw man, that made me cry. i love monkey. funny how he and Big C are so different but both so wonderful. and the way they both love each other so much is fun to watch too. did we ever get along like that?
