well it's day 1 for me but not for the house. we got there about 9:30 and we were amazed by how much stuff and people were all over the place. luckily we had a parking pass so we just drove right up. this is what it looked like when we got there.
not much to see right? they had dug a basement and done the demo while we were in florida.
i got the great idea to get the portable swing and put it in the drive way. we had the most perfect view. and tons of shade which is good because it was durn hot out there!!
it was perfect. and you can tell from the first pix that there was a fence across the front of the yard. well that is where all the people were walking to get closer to the house. and almost everyone of them said what a great spot we had, perfect view, great idea, or something equally nice. we were sitting there watching and the local news camera crew stopped across the street and taped us! hope we make the 6:00!
the lady who's house they are doing runs a day-care from her home. but it's for single mom's who are trying to get on their feet and not rely on welfare. but it's so hard to work and pay for child care that this lady (alisha king) gives them a great discount. and she loves them all so much. and she runs a clothing swap/giveaway out of her home too. so it gets really crowded. probably about 1100 square feet of space. anyway the kids that she keeps were there today and were interviewed by one of the designers, Michael
do you recognize him? what a super nice guy. guess who was standing right next to the kids he was talking to? ME!! and my hubby and big c. unless they blur me out, i will be on the show!!!! i'll keep you posted as to the date and stuff.
this is what they had done as we were leaving about 2:00. amazing!
i can't wait to go back tomorrow!!
be on the lookout for more pix and hopefully some celebrity sightings!!
